The event of the week: The Dubrovnik Summer Games 
The Dubrovnik Summer Games are the oldest and most famous festivals in Croatia. Its luster has only increased since 1956 and has become, thanks to the prestigious European Festivals Association, a factor of European integration. During the summer, the walls of the old city vibrates with the sounds of classical music and voices in the theater. Actors and dancers take their neighborhoods from the streets and piazzas of Renaissance or Baroque Dubrovnik.

Only the art is able to express all the nuances of this wonderful city of stone and light. Many actors, dancers and musicians are inspired and share the momentum with the audience throughout the summer. Dubrovnik Festival annually hosts the finest composers, soloists and orchestras. The concerts in the heart of historic buildings in the city, for example in the atrium of the Rector's palace with exceptional acoustics, has a special charm. This year again, of course, the walls of Dubrovnik will return echoes of a long and rich history. The 62nd festival of Dubrovnik, which will take place from July 10 to August 25, 2011, will gather once again the world's artistic elite in one of the most beautiful cities in the world with its squares, gardens, palaces, islands and medieval fortresses.
