ABROAD:
To disable data abroad, and thus the often unnecessary and involuntary (the roaming data) on your Windows phone, handling is as follows:

If you have a Windows phone (HTC phones I think) you can use the excellent application (free) Footprints .It can do the same things that Mapbook for Iphone.
Take a photo, place it on a card, write a comment. A bonus: You can also record sound for your GPS point!It ends up in a file. Kmz you can export to Google Earth or Google Maps.
Instructions:
Launch the application FootPrints
Take a picture
GPS locates your position.
You can then write a text and / or record sound.
Just to "export" your Footprints (in Menu). The files are then saved to the location of your choice. (Choose the storage card).
Once you connect your phone to your computer, you will find this file Footprints / ____.kmz. Copy it and paste it in either Google Maps or Google Earth. You will find all your Footprints and your journey with your photos, comments and / or sound.
