The European Commission wants to ban low-cost airlines to add fresh surprises in the ticket price.

By dint of countless add additional fees, the low cost airlines have incurred the wrath of the European Commission. Siim Kallas, Commissioner for Transport, seems convincedthat the many small sums that add to the price of airfare with Ryanair or Easyjet inducethe purchaser into error. On this point, we could hardly contradict him!
Indeed, the very attractive deals available on the Internet are rarely the final price, andthese can sometimes double the original amount. Ryanair has even added a participation since April 2 euro per ticket to offset losses due to flight cancellationsduring the volcanic eruption of 2010.
If the EU does not prohibit such fees, it should require airlines to show clarity in theirtariffs, and thus, to display the total price from the beginning. The slightest things, one might think ...
